Answers to Your Consultation & Appointment Questions

I am committed to providing pets owners and patients with a peaceful and hassle-free veterinary care experience every time. Read the Bella Veterinary Care FAQs section for crucial information related to consultations, appointments, and grief support resources.

Please send your pet’s entire medical history to [email protected] after your pet’s appointment is confirmed. We can also obtain your medical records from your veterinarian if you provide their name and information. This information will be taken into consideration for your pet’s treatment.

The first appointment is typically 90 minutes. I will perform a detailed medical assessment of your pet and discuss your concerns and goals for your pet’s medical care during this visit. Together, we will come up with a personalized treatment plan that works best for your furry friend. If treatment is elected, we will perform the first treatment session in most cases.

You are recommended to select a quiet, peaceful, and dimly-lit place in your home where your pet feels comfortable. This is very important to optimize their response to treatments. You may also consider keeping some specific treats your pet enjoys or a bed/blanket your pet prefers accessible for the appointment.

Please note that each patient is expected to show a different response to acupuncture needles. However, most pets relax and possibly sleep after the first few needles are placed. Meanwhile, laser therapy and massage therapy are minimally invasive techniques that do not hurt your pet in any way.

I understand the grief and trauma you are likely to experience on the day of your pet’s euthanasia appointment and adopt an empathetic experience to share your emotions. We will confirm the appointment time and date with you after you request an appointment.

You are recommended to complete the euthanasia consent form, select the desired aftercare services, and pay your invoice prior to your appointment. All the required information will be sent to you once the appointment is confirmed.  We can then focus on you and your pet the day of the appointment.

On the day of your pet’s appointment, please select a place inside or outside of the home that is special to your pet. This can be your patio or backyard as well. You may choose to lay your pet in their favorite bed, buddled up in their favorite blanket.

We also highly encourage you to have your pet’s favorite toys and treats handy for the procedure. Your pet’s housemates are also welcome to attend the procedure. Saying goodbye to your pet is the most difficult part of being a pet owner, and I will support you through the entire process.
